1. Who this policy is for
MINDARAE TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED ("MINDARAE", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Glowhiz product. Glowhiz is a wellness and self-awareness companion for compatible smart rings. This policy applies to www.glowhiz.com, the Glowhiz mobile app, and related public product resources unless a page states otherwise.
Glowhiz is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Do not use Glowhiz as a substitute for professional medical advice.
2. Glowhiz does not require an account
The current app does not require a Glowhiz account and does not provide a cloud health dashboard. Ring data and personal content described below are designed to remain on your phone. We do not sell personal information, use cross-app advertising identifiers, or run advertising analytics in the current app.
3. Information handled on your phone
The app may access and store the following locally so that its features work:
- Ring and wellness data: supported sleep duration and stages, heart-rate and HRV samples, stress and blood-oxygen readings, activity and step summaries, timestamps, data-quality states, and ring connection details such as battery, firmware, and hardware information.
- Your content: journal text, notes, photos or videos you choose, and voice recordings you make in Dialogue.
- App state: preferences, selected units and language, device binding state, local product-normalized cache, and downloaded mindfulness catalog or audio cache.
These records are stored in the app's local storage. They are not uploaded to a Glowhiz health account. When you uninstall the app or clear its local storage through the operating system, the app's local records and cached resources are removed; data that is already stored on the ring is not erased by uninstalling the app.
4. Permissions and device access
- Bluetooth: used to discover, connect, bind, reconnect, and sync a compatible ring.
- Camera and Photos: used only when you choose to take or select a photo or video for a personal moment, or save a share card.
- Microphone: used only when you choose to record a voice note.
- Notifications: used for optional reminders when you allow them.
- Location on Android: some Android versions require location permission for Bluetooth scanning. The current Android adapter uses that permission for BLE scan compatibility; Glowhiz does not create a location history or upload GPS coordinates for the current product flow.
The current iOS app does not request a location permission and the Glowhiz iOS bridge does not call CoreLocation APIs. The vendor ring SDK contains optional location-related capabilities; those capabilities are not treated as a Glowhiz product feature without separate vendor and real-device evidence. Glowhiz does not currently access Apple Health or Health Connect.
You can change or revoke permissions in your device settings. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature while leaving other local features available.
5. Public resources and server logs
The app can download the mindfulness catalog, manifest, and selected audio resources from https://res.glowhiz.com. These are public product resources, not a cloud copy of your health data. The website and resource server may receive ordinary operational information such as IP address, request time, requested path, response status, user agent, referrer, and basic connection information in server access logs.
These logs are used for security, availability, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Access is restricted to site operations, and logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by law. The exact retention period depends on the applicable server operations policy. The logs are not used to build a health profile or to associate ring data with a named account.
6. Sharing and export
Glowhiz can use the operating system's sharing or export features when you explicitly choose to share a card, photo, text, or other content. At that point the content leaves the phone and may be received by the person, app, or service you select. The recipient's or third party's privacy policy then applies. Glowhiz does not silently share local ring data or journal content.
7. Retention and deletion
Local app records remain on your phone until you delete them through an available app action, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Mindfulness downloads remain until you remove the app or its local cache through the available app or operating-system controls. Ring memory is controlled by the ring and is not erased by uninstalling Glowhiz.
If you contact us, we retain the message and contact details only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide support, protect our rights, or meet legal obligations. Public operational logs follow the applicable server operations policy described above.
8. Security and international processing
We use local-first storage, access controls, HTTPS for public resource downloads, and ordinary operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Our company and service providers may operate in different countries. When technical support, hosting, or legal obligations require information to cross borders, we take reasonable steps to handle it under applicable law. Because the current app has no Glowhiz account or cloud health sync, ring health records are not routinely transferred to our servers.
9. Children
Glowhiz is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. Please do not use the service or send us personal information if you are not permitted to do so.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, permissions, data flows, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date above and publish the new version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in the app or release materials where appropriate.
