Ring Guide

A short setup path for connecting a compatible ring to Glowhiz and keeping the experience local-first.

1

Charge and wear

Charge the ring, wear it comfortably, and keep it close to the phone during setup and sync.

2

Open Profile

From the app's Profile page, start ring setup or choose the ring status entry. First pairing is a deliberate user action.

3

Choose your ring

Review the scan results and select the ring you recognise. Glowhiz filters the list for likely compatible ring broadcasts; it does not silently bind an arbitrary nearby BLE device.

4

Connect and bind

Confirm the connection, then bind the selected ring. After the first pairing flow, Glowhiz can run the initial sync needed to populate the local Today view.

5

Sync when you choose

Keep the ring nearby and use the explicit sync action when you want fresh data. A failed or empty Live result is shown as a failure or no-data state; it is not replaced with fixture data.

If something goes wrong

Check Bluetooth, the ring battery, system permissions, and distance between the devices. If the ring is already connected elsewhere, release that connection before trying again. For a persistent issue, visit Support.

What Glowhiz does not do

Glowhiz does not require an account, silently start a historical sync during ordinary reconnect, or use your ring data to create a cloud health profile. See the Privacy Policy for the complete data and permission boundary.
